The focus of this blog is Japanese knitting and crochet patterns. It may expand to other crafts in the future.
I also want to include chart symbols, both Japanese (which have been standardized for decades) and non-Japanese. There seems to be a lot of variation of symbols in the U.S. alone, and then add various European, Brazilian, and … and … Let’s just say there are a lot of non-standard symbols floating around out there, and I want to help make sense of some of it.
Even though I can read Japanese kana and some kanji (Chinese characters), I am nowhere near fluent in the language, so mistakes may pop up here and there. I will be happy to correct any mistakes that are pointed out to me!
